ROY D. MEACHAM
Roy D Meacham of Knoxville, TN died peacefully in his sleep on une 4, 2008. He was 86 years old.  Roy was born in Detroit, Michigan to William and Florence Duffield.  He was a loyal member of the Masons and Shriners in Florida where he made his home before his battle with Alzheimer’s Disease.
Roy served in the U.S. Navy during WWII and the Korean War.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Margaret E. Meacham.  He is survived by his daughter, Sharon Smith and her husband Wendell L. Smith of Knoxville, TN., his stepdaughters, Catherine Sharkey and Kristine Stein both of Detroit, MI., his stepsons, Ralph Stein of Texas and John Stein of Detroit, MI., 7 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, June 9, 2008 at 2:00 P.M. in the chapel at Watson Funeral Home.  Masonic Lodge #268 of Cross City will give the last rights.  Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Shriners Hospital to help needy children. P.
